Congratulations to Holy Angels Alumnus, Class of 2007, Jerald Geronimo who became a Deacon on Saturday, April 17, during his Ordination Ceremony to the Order of Deacons held at St. Patrick’s Seminary & University in Menlo Park. He was surrounded by family, friends, and the Dominican Sisters at the Mass, celebrated by Most Rev. Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone. Let us keep Jerald in our prayers as he continues his vocation journey to priesthood, which should take place next year, June of 2022.

Luis Ocampo, Jadine Aguilar, Adriana Gonzalez, and Xochil Gonzalez The Art Squad is an extracurricular group who assist Art Teacher, Kim Cordano with promoting and encouraging the creation of art throughout the school community and helps to manage the art page on our school website. They also help with displaying art, both at school and virtually, that showcase all the beautiful art from grades 1-8 to the school students and parents. Our first project of this year was to help 8th graders create an interactive photography presentation. Artworks by Divya Bonilla (current 3rd grader) and Bayleigh Rodriguez (current 4th grade) were 2 of the 16 artworks chosen to represented the Archdiocese of San Francisco in the 2019-2020 National MCA Christmas Card Contest. Many artworks were sent in by Holy Angels School as well as other Bay Area Catholic schools. Congratulations for being part of the top 16!
Congratulations to Isabella Fernandez, (current 5th grader), who won the 2020 4th Grade Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW) Essay Contest. Isabella's essay about the Gold Rush won both district level and state level. On behalf of the South San Francisco Parlor, Native Son, Ted Cordano presented Isabella her plaque and prize money. Isabella's photo and essay will also be sent to the (NSGW) California Museum in Columbia for display and become part of their permanent collection. Way to go Isabella!

Preschool: Hannah for being a good friend and sharing toys with her classmates ![]() Congratulations to 4th grade student, Marco Gomez who won Honorable Mention for his essay in the San Francisco Archdiocesan Respect Life Essay Contest. This year, the theme was "Loving All from Conception to Natural Death." Marco, along with other students from Archdiocesan Catholic Schools, will be recognized during Mass on February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco. All winners, AND EVERY STUDENT WHO PARTICIPATED are invited along with their families and friends to attend. |
