CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK 2012
January 29 to February 5


Sunday, January 29 (In Our Parish)

OPEN HOUSE 11:00 AM TO 2:00 PM - Please invite friends, relatives and neighbors to tour the school, check out all the special projects the students have been working on and help us celebrate our wonderful school community. Applications for 2012-2013 school year will be available for interested families.

Students (grades 4 to 8) and their families are asked to attend the 4:30 PM Sunday mass as a way to let parishioners of Holy Angels see how strong we are in our belief in Catholic education. Students who participate will receive a day of free dress on Tuesday, Feb. 7th (not February 2nd).

Monday, January 30 (In Our Community)

Prayer Service at 8:45 am led by 8th grade and Liturgy in Motion
Grandparents join their grandchildren in the hall for refreshments and activities
Service projects led by Student Council
Thank school supporters and appreciate those who serve the community
Call a friend or a neighbor to join our school community

Tuesday, January 31 (In Our Faculty, Staff and Volunteers)
8th graders are teachers, staff and admin of the day
Prayer service for teachers and staff by the Student Council at 12:00 pm in the hall
Appreciation lunch for faculty and staff, church staff from parents served by students and HAPAC

Wednesday, February 1 (In Our Students)
Free Dress Day (Please refer to school handbook for free dress guidelines)
Fun learning day
Student Fun Day led by Student Council
"Make a Difference Day"

Thursday, February 2 (In our Nation)
Fee Dress Day - Students donate $2 to support our Medical Mission for free dress. Students wear red, white and blue. (Please refer to school handbook for free dress guidelines)
Flag Assembly outside at 8:15 am (weather permitting) with Veterans in uniform to raise the flag
(In the classroom) Review the history and symbolism of the American Flag
Pray the Rosary for peace and justice in our world and conversion of those who turned away from God, at 1:45 PM in church
Quiet time with Jesus
